These guides take you from signing up to running Prixl Warden day to day. If you are setting up for the first time, work through the first four in order; together they take about 40 minutes, most of it waiting for emails and the installer.
Set up
- System requirements: supported Windows versions, admin rights, and the two addresses the server must reach over HTTPS.
- Start your free trial and get the installer: the sign-up form, the verification email, and the welcome email with your org.lic key file and the download button.
- Install Warden on your server: every installer screen, what to check afterwards, and the silent-install command for IT vendors.
- Open the dashboard and find your way around: why you use the desktop shortcut, the first-run pop-ups, and a map of the tabs.
Protect the server
- Run the security audit and apply fixes: read your hardening score, apply safe fixes, handle risky ones with care, and revert a fix.
- Block attackers: manual blocks, auto-block and trusted IPs: block and unblock addresses, switch on auto-block, and keep your own addresses safe.
- Restrict risky ports (Open Ports tab): limit ports such as file sharing and remote management to your office network.
