Start your free trial and get the installer

What you will do

Sign up for the free trial on prixl.io, confirm your email address, and receive two things you need for the install: the Warden installer (PrixlWarden.msi) and your organisation key file (org.lic). The trial lasts 30 days and needs no card.

Time: about 10 minutes. You need: an email address you read (it becomes your first alert recipient) and a way to get the email attachment onto the server.

  1. Open the free trial page.
  2. Fill in Your Name, Email, Name of your Organization and Country. City is optional. Use the email address that should receive Warden’s alerts.
  3. Wait a moment for the spam check under the form to finish, then click Start my free trial.
  1. The form is replaced by “Thank you for your interest in Prixl Warden.” and a reminder to verify your email address. Someone from our team may also get in touch.

Confirm your email address

  1. Open the email “Verify your email – Prixl Warden” from [email protected]. If it is not there after a few minutes, check your spam folder.
  2. Click Verify Email Address. The link expires in 24 hours.
  1. Your browser shows “Email Verified!” and tells you to check your inbox for your licence key and set-up instructions.

Save the installer and your key

  1. Open the email “Welcome to Prixl Warden – Your License Key”. It lists your organisation details (Organization, Org ID, Plan, Device Seats), shows your licence key in a box, and has the file org.lic attached.
  1. Save the attached org.lic on the server, for example in your Downloads folder, and note where it is: the installer asks you to pick it. Keep the file name exactly org.lic.
  2. Click Download Prixl Warden in the same email to download PrixlWarden.msi. If you are reading the email on another computer, copy both files to the server’s Downloads folder.

Keep the welcome email. The org.lic file is your organisation’s key: the installer asks for it, and you may need it again if you reinstall or move to a new server. Signing up again with the same email address does not send a new welcome email, so if you lose it, use the contact form.

What the trial includes

  • 30 days, no card needed.
  • Monitoring of sign-ins and important changes, immediate alerts for serious events, the daily digest and the weekly summary.
  • The security audit in view-only mode: you see every check, but the button that applies fixes needs a paid plan.
  • Up to 3 manual IP blocks a day and one alert recipient.
  • Not included in the trial: the one-click “block this IP” link in alert emails, and Secure Access (Prixl Guard).
  • Event history is kept for a shorter time than on paid plans.

The trial and licence guide explains what happens when the trial ends.

Check it worked

  • You have the welcome email “Welcome to Prixl Warden – Your License Key”.
  • The server’s Downloads folder holds PrixlWarden.msi and a file named exactly org.lic.

If something goes wrong

  • No verification email: wait a few minutes, check spam, and add [email protected] to your safe senders. While your address is still unconfirmed, submitting the form again with the same address re-sends the same verification email.
  • The browser says “Link Expired”: the 24 hours have passed. Use the contact form, giving the address you signed up with, and we will help you finish signing up.
  • The form says “We could not submit the form. Please try again.”: try again in a minute, or use the contact form.
  • The browser saved the key as org (1).lic or org.lic.txt: rename it to org.lic. The installer accepts only that exact name. More fixes in Troubleshooting Warden.
